Research Team

İlhan Yalçın is an associate professor at the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Ankara University, Turkey. He received his undergraduate degree, Master's degree, and doctoral degree in counseling and guidance from Hacettepe University. He had been a visiting scholar at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007-2008. His current research focuses mainly on subjective well-being, forgiveness, gratitude, meaning in life, close relationships, and premarital counseling.
Asude Malkoç is an assistant professor at the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, İstanbul Medipol University, Turkey. She received her undergraduate degree in counseling and guidance from Marmara University, Master’s degree in counseling and guidance from Hacettepe University and doctoral degree in counseling and guidance from Marmara University. Her current research focuses mainly on subjective well-being, family well-being, coping and meaning in life.
Ferhat Kardaş is assistant professor at the department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Turkey. He received his undergraduate degree from the Boğaziçi University, Master's degree from the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, and doctoral degree from the Ankara University, in the field of counseling and guidance. The main current research topics of Kardaş are; well-being, gratitude, evidence-based practices in counseling, current learning and teaching techniques.
Esma Daşcı is a research assistant and PhD candidate in Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department, Ankara University, Turkey. She received her undergraduate, and Master's degree in guidance and psychological counseling from Ankara University. She carried out developmental studies as a visiting scholar in the Center for Developmental Research (CDR), Örebro University, Sweden for 5 months in 2017. Her current research interests are parent-adolescent relationship, parenting of adolescent, psychosocial adjustment and well-being in adolescence, emotion regulation, and counseling with adolescents and young adults.
